Why Join Yoga Teacher Training Courses (YTTC) In Goa & Dharamsala, India Offered By Abhinam Yoga Center?

Abhinam Yoga TTC School in Dharamsala & Goa, India was established by Namito a lifelong disciple of Mr. BKS Iyengar. So the Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow taught at our Yoga school is based on Iyengars alignment principles. The knowledge of correct alignment is essential for every Yoga practitioner. Only through that can one truly benefit and practice Yoga injury free. Dedicated to each student’s individual growth, Abhinam Yoga creates a supportive and non-competitive learning environment.

Our Vision

At Abhinam, our vision is not only to develop successful yoga professionals but also to spread peace and harmony in the world through promotion and dissemination of a holistic yogic lifestyle. We want to present a holistic vision of Yoga which addresses body, mind and our innermost being. Abhinam School is dedicated to bringing Yoga out of its current “succeed at all cost culture” and to teach Yoga injury free.

Our Yoga Teacher Training Course Structure

Our Yoga teacher training courses structure has been conceptualized and designed in such a way that students will be taught postures with the primary focus on alignment in order to develop a solid foundation of asana and alignment practice. This will help them to improvise sequencing a Vinyasa Flow class. So when they start teaching, they can make their own choreography or composition of yogasanas.

The theme of the teacher training courses (TTC) is learning the art of teaching yoga in its totality. In ancient days Yoga was taught from the childhood. All the postures were presented to children with Vinyasa Flow. It was used to motivate children into practicing yoga during their stay in Gurukula, the mystery schools. So that they can just touch and go, in and out of a pose, feel playful, practice jump back-jump through, forward bend, back bend, twists, inversions, sitting poses and rest of it without being bored. This was the beginning of their journey into yogic life.

In other words, it is a dynamic practice of Asana synchronized with breath. Asanas are practiced in a sequence in a dynamic and flowing style using breath, drishti (gaze) and bandhas (energy locks). It will enable students to teach Ashtanga yoga and also create their own Vinyasa Flow sequences according to their group of students. We also focus on alignment, therapy and restorative yoga which is very helpful to prevent injuries and it gives quick recovery from fatigue during the intensive training.

Our Teaching Staff

All the teachers at Abhinam School are Yoga Alliance certified Instructors with years of experience of teaching and practicing yoga. Most of them have also been personally guided and trained by Namito.

Our Locations

The locations of our yoga centers at Patnem Beach And Dharamkot, where the courses are organized make it an unforgettable experience. The breathtaking panoramic view of the sea in Goa and lush green environs and perfect weather in the lap of Himalayas in Dharamsala provide an excellent location for meditation, pranayama and yoga classes.

I have been practicing Ashtanga Vinyasa for two and a half years, and teaching in my basement to friends and friends of friends for the past six months. I wanted to get my teacher training certificate, and I decided to come to India to be trained properly. I found Abhinam Yoga School in Dharamkot and was welcomed with open arms after I told them my situation.

I was very pleased to find that the teachers here knew exactly what they were doing. Every morning we go through the Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary series. All the teachers give amazing cues, and alignment adjustments. In just the first week I saw my own practice improve immensely with the use of blocks, straps, verbal cues, and alignment class. They covered everything I feel I need to know as a teacher including anatomy, teaching methodology, and alignment. We also had philosophy class every day, which was my very favorite part since learning yoga in America, I wasn’t exposed much to the history and philosophy of yoga, my knowledge increased exponentially. I was also required to teach my own classes to drop in students at the school, and by the time they asked me to do this, I was so prepared and confident that I wasn’t nervous or stressed, and I was able to enjoy my first real experience teaching a class. I had learned the Sanskrit names of every pose in the primary series, and I had learned how to teach with ease. I feel that Abhinam Yoga School has more than adequately prepared me to be an amazing yoga teacher and I can’t wait to come back next year to get my 300 hour TTC in Goa certification!

“I have been practicing yoga for 8 years when I arrived to India for my honeymoon. I knew its not easy to find a good teacher here. When I meet Namito in Daramkot, Dharamsala and practice with his guidance I felt that its the best yoga experience I could have asked for.
Both private session and drop in class taught me a lot about yoga asanas and my practice got improved and I got important insight on the asanas, self practice and pranayama. I enjoined both the practice and the philosophy that Namito shared with me.
If you are beginner or more advanced in practice yoga, you should come and practice with Namito in Abhinam Yoga school in Dharamsala or Goa.”

“A deeper understanding of yoga”We were lucky enough to find Namito and Abinham yoga just as they have started in Patnem (already established in Daramshala), after trying 3 other places along the beach. We started with a drop in and were so impressed we changed our flight to take a 5 day course. We really focussed on getting the asanas correctly aligned and moving deeper into them using props and challenging preparation! I increase my flexibility quite significantly in the week and my back, which has been experiencing problems our entire 2 month trip in India, has never felt so good! We also learnt a lot about the philosophy of yoga, learnt and practiced great powerful meditations and prayanama. Namito is a brilliant teacher and a lifelong student of Iyengar himself. The yoga space is gorgeous and critically mosquito free (we were eaten alive during other classes by the beach). Thoroughly recommend Abinham Yoga to really get a real understanding of yoga and improve your practice.

I have just completed my 200 TTC at the Abhinam Yoga School in Dharamkot. My journey before joining Abhinam School wasn’t very easy, as I registered and paid to a 200 TTC training at a different school in Dharamsala from London, however after I arrived in India, I found that the other school was not professional and the teacher did not have a basic knowledge of Yoga and philosophy.
Together with my fellow students we came across Namito, who told us about the Abhinam School and invited us to see the facilities. We fell in love with the school straight away. Namito, seeing and understanding our situation, offered us the course as a part of rolling system even though there were no dates running at the time. He also gave us a special price, as he knew that we have spent a lot of money in the other school, and were broke.
Thanks to his generosity and kindness we got a chance to participate in a really great training, all classes – meditation, philosophy, pranayama, anatomy, ashtanga and hatha yoga are run in a professional manner by experienced and knowledgeable teachers. We have received all training material and books and a lot of support from all staff members of the Abhinam Yoga School.
I feel so happy to be a part of this training, I met fantastic people, who taught me and inspired me to carry on with my great Yoga adventure. I work as a meditation teacher at home and now I feel I am full of new tools and skills and can’t wait to share them with my students on London.
I am forever thankful to Namito and his team here in Dharamkot for making my trip to India worthwhile and for taking me in when I was desperate and needed help. This adventure will always stay close to my heart.
I also already made a decision to do my 300 TTC at the Abhinam Yoga School at their Goa branch.

Warm Wishes to all staff at the Abhinam Yoga School.

In this picture from right Carina (Holland), Lindsay Rodgers (Scotland), Yogananda (India) and Michaela (Austria)
I was doing my YTTC 200 in Mysore and participated in a workshop organized by Abhinam Yoga team, about yoga anatomy and importance of alignment in relation to avoid injuries during yoga practice.
I can honestly say I have never been more inspired to further my knowledge of yoga.
Yogananda talks and teaches from the heart with a deep knowledge and understanding of yoga and anatomy. He managesto make complex issues simple. He delivers his teaching with sincerity, consideration and humor.
I was amazed how much I learnt in an hour; I can’t imagine how much I’d learn in a 200hr course which he is going to conduct in Dharmshala, India! I feel so grateful to have had the opportunity to meet him and I am looking forward to learning more from him some day in the future.
Thank you Yogananda and Abhinam yoga team.

Namito’s teaching is sincere, light-hearted and very professional. I enjoyed the atmosphere of playfulness, while still creating the balance of strength and flexibility. I felt safe to go deeper in the asanas without losing my connection to the breath and myself. His calm, equanimous nature inspired me to go further on this path of yoga. I would recommend his classes to anyone who wants to learn the base of yoga, or who wants to deepen their own practise and understanding

I am very happy to be here writing a review about Abhinam Yoga School and mostly what I have to say is that I’ve had a really wonderful time here. I have learnt an immense amount about Yoga and to have been present in a supportive and loving environment has been a real help in growing and learning. The school is in a very easily accessible location with an absolutely wonderful view which I’ve had the good fortune to admire while being in the studio practicing Yoga. It’s the type of place that one would ideally imagine to be learning the ancient art of yoga in. The teachers are all great and very experienced in their own ways. Being surrounded with such positive energy has helped me keep a clear and pure mind and heart. Each person here has a uniqueness about them that is inspiring in so many ways. The accommodation is close to the school (5 minute walk) and has a wonderful view. The rooms are big for a single person and all have their own private bathrooms. It has been lovely having everyone in the same building, creating a feeling of community between the students and teachers. Alignment class with Namito has been a fantastic learning experience. The attention paid to not only performing the asanas but also learning how to adjust students with and without props is a great quality to have learnt. He pays great attention to each student which is an admirable quality and something I myself would like to develop as a teacher. Maki is a beautiful teacher and has the most incredible Hatha flows. She flows like water in her asanas – And her dedication is contagious! She has the most beautiful aura, ready to help with a smile on her face whenever asked. Mika, a beautiful pure energy that spreads good vibes wherever she goes. She is always there to help anyone with the course and also just to talk to. You can see in her eyes that she has so much love to give and experience to share. Ansh, who I only unfortunately got to spend a couple weeks here with is so wonderful! He taught us marketing and website design, both valuable assets to learn of, while at the same time being excellent company. These wonderful people have all inspired me in their own way and I’m so grateful to have crossed paths with them. I have had an all rounded experience of Yoga at Abhinam Yoga School, starting with morning mantras and learning different forms of meditation, going into the physical aspect of Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Hatha, followed by classes in Anatomy and Philosophy. It has been both a physical and spiritual journey and I’m extremely grateful to have come to know the practice of Yoga in a much deeper and pure way than I had before. I’m glad I found myself here, and to have been surrounded with positive energy and Love, and I recommend Abhinam Yoga School to anyone who is reading this with all my heart.

I have always seen myself as a student. In every aspect of life, knowledge and experience are infinite. Therefore and since an early age, my sincere desire was to find a mentor. When I discovered yoga three years ago, I unconsciously stopped seeking outside as I gradually turned my awareness within. I felt this year was the moment to take a step further and fully dive into yoga as it is: a philosophy of life, to re-unite with the omnipresent divine. As I was travelling through New Zealand with this idea growing in, I one night randomly – or probably not - opened a link leading me to a review on the Abhinam Yoga Center TTC. And so the journey began... The location among the mountains of Himalaya is magnificent and seems just right. There is a very special and spiritual energy which is perfect to experience the eight limbs of yoga. Whether you just opened your eyes from a quiet night sleep, or just come out from an asana class, every moment is a new show you can be grateful for, and filling your heart with constant bliss. This is what I was here for. The spiritual and philosophical aspect. The western approach of yoga is often too limited to the physical side. Studying ancient scriptures gives you a grasp of the full picture and reminds you it is possible for every single person to experience the higher self. The philosophy teacher is an extra-ordinary person and a brilliant teacher of philosophy. He is filled with both knowledge and transcendental experience of the self. He will guide you through The Sutras and the Baghavad Gita with humour and anecdotes, and sentences that will just open your mind and remain there. You will then come to understand that at some point, you shall close your books and dive inner. The path to enlightenment is to be experienced personally and beyond words and mind. At Abhinam Yoga Center, you will be taught Asanas, pranayama, meditation and mantra chanting: Namito will help you connect deeper to yourself through all these aspects. He has an impressive curriculum and was directly trained by three of the most influential persons responsible of the spreading of yoga in the world: Krishnamurti, BKS Iyengar and Osho. This experience combined with his medical background made him an excellent teacher. He will bring your postures to perfect alignment and you will gain the full benefits of each one. Maki, through her perseverance and humility will truly inspire your practice. In the end of the training, you will master the key alignments and adjustments for the Ashtanga primary series. Whether you’re thinking of immediately start teaching or opening a studio at term, you have everything in your hands to do so successfully as long as you keep going with your deep and sincere practice. For the second one, Ansh will provide you with solid tips to build up your social red in an efficient way. Reaching the end of the course, I feel like I was just born again. The whole process resulted beyond my expectations. I feel actually speechless. Though I will share two powerful moments: The first one was a meditation during which I went further than I had ever gone. I saw and felt what I thought I had understood through reading and sharing talks. Well… I just had no idea! And it was only a glimpse of omnipresent grace. It unlocked something inner. I now have a different vision of everything, as if I opened my eyes for the very first time. The second one was my first teaching class. Namito is the one and only who could help me show myself as I hadn’t before. He was patient, gentle, firm and compassionate enough to make me step to the other side of the mat when I felt I did not belong there. What a memory, what a feeling! I want to express my respect, gratitude, and love to Namito, Maki, Benu. Micha and Ansh, and each student who accompanied me in this unique and amazing month. They all allowed me to rediscover myself and embrace Life in a better way. Being here, doing that at this moment was a blessing.
