About Yoga Teacher Training in India
Our Yoga Teacher training in India are aimed to provide a complete holistic study of the subject of yoga. The theme of the Ashtanga and Multi-Style yoga teacher training courses (TTC) is to learn the art of teaching yoga in its totality. The structure of our Yoga teacher training in India has been conceptualized and designed in such a way that students will be taught postures with the primary focus on alignment using Iyengar props in order to develop a solid foundation of asana and alignment practice. Our emphasis on correct alignment is one of the core elements of our trainings. We believe that with the right knowledge one can truly benefit and practice injury free. The students will also have many supervised sessions on how to work on their presentation and observation as a teacher, exploring hands on adjustment techniques and how to use Iyengar props.
In ancient days, Yoga was taught from the childhood. All the postures were presented to children with Vinyasa Flow. This was done so that they can just touch and go, in and out of a pose, feel playful, practice jump back-jump through, forward bend, back bend, twists, inversions, sitting poses and rest of it without being bored. Therefore, it motivated children into practicing during their stay in Gurukula, the mystery schools. This was the beginning of their journey into yogic life.
Abhinam Yoga School also wants to bring the same playfulness in our trainings. In other words, we want to emphasize the dynamic practice of Asana synchronized with breath. Hence, Asanas are practiced in a sequence in a dynamic and flowing style using breath, drishti (gaze) and bandhas (energy locks). We also focus on alignment and restorative yoga, which is coming from Iyengar Tradition. As a result, this combination is very helpful to prevent injuries and it gives quick recovery from fatigue during the intensive training. The TTC courses will also cover in depth subjects like yoga philosophy, specific and applied anatomy, physiology, meditation, pranayama, Yoga Nidra and kriyas.
