Abhinam Yoga Center | Dharamshala Location

Our Yoga Center In Dharamsala, Himalayas

Sitting in the shadows of the Dhauladhar ranges of Himalayas, the beautiful mountains frame a most breathtaking, pristine backdrop for a city whose name roughly translates as ‘spiritual dwelling’. Fitting, as it has played home to the Dalai Lama, and many Tibetans seeking solace post-uprising in the mid-20th century. Many have made the pilgrimage to this captivating, spiritual place; it is not difficult to see why so many have been drawn to it. The otherworldly feeling is palpable, sounds from the Tibetan monasteries ringing with such vibrancy one can feel the ebullience of energy, drawing on a primordial essence from deep within.

Abhinam Yoga School’s location, among the clouds in Himalayas, taps in to this abundance of energy. One cannot help but completely immerse themselves in their practice, their learning, their sense of ‘self’. It is the perfect space to practice meditation and being situated over 2500m above sea level, its climate is perfect for asana practice during the summer months. For those of you craving inspiration and to truly immerse in learning with wisdom in every pore of your surroundings, our Yoga Center in Dharamsala in North India is perfect for you.

200 Hours Teacher Training Course Programs in Dharamshala

The 200 Hour Teacher Training Course in Dharamsala has been designed around safe-practice, prop-methods adopted by Mr BKS Iyengar. Iyengar championed the use of props for each and every pose in the Primary Series as well as others, as he understood that no one human body is like another. Iyengar helped make yoga accessible to all, by breaking down alignment and introducing props to help make space for those that would not be able to reach or practice otherwise.  This course creates the perfect foundation for students to then come to understand the reasoning behind the flow of movement – from Sun Salutations, to standing poses, seated poses, backward bending and inversions for instance. They will learn to create their own intelligent sequences and have a better understanding of alignment, posture, breath and flow of movement.

Course Workshops include:

Pranayama and Kriya Classes – Understanding the different breath techniques, both active and passive, to generate both fire and calm, concentration and meditation

Teaching Methodology and Ethics – How to run your class, and be the best yoga teacher you can be. Learning voice pitch/control/recognition, understanding your personality and how to deal with a room full of strangers and captivate their attention, how to structure a class as well as maintain the correct behaviors and principles of a yoga teacher

Philosophy and History of Yoga Classes – Learning more about the origins of Yoga, its ethics and moral codes, what the word ‘Ashtanga’ truly means and how to incorporate these ideas into your every day, and the every day of your students.

Business and Marketing Classes(Optional) – How to set up your business website and social media presence.  How to market your studio/brand effectively, what to be aware of when starting out yoga as new business
